1 year

i can't believe it's already been a year since scott's mom passed away. time has gone so quickly. it doesn't feel like it's been a year but at the same time it feels like it happened a long time ago. this week has been difficult for Scott and it's got me thinking as well. i was at work on wednesday when i recalled receiving a call from scott telling me his mom was being taken in an ambulance to the hospital. it's hard to retrace those moments. i just want scott to know how much i love and admire him. he has been so strong this past year and has been such an example to me. i know i wouldn't be that strong if roles were reversed. makes me realize how much i love my mom and all she does for us. we miss mary very much and wish she were here but we know that she is happy where she is at and who she is with.
this pictures was before christmas, some of scott's family went to put a tree up at her grave. she loved christmas time and her favorite thing was the smell of a real christmas tree.

Scott's family thinks he looks like a cop with his stash, but when you add his dad's hat and glasses he just looks older. I love scott, but honestly i could do without the stash :)

Happy early Birthday!

When my brother and his family were out for Christmas we decided to have an early Birthday party for my oldest niece Kasia. We had a little party. Kasia and McKinsey both helped me make the cake. We had a lot of fun making it, thanks again girls for your help!
happy Birthday on January 10th Kasia! i can't believe you are going to be 7 years old!!! you are growing up so fast. i had a ton of fun while you were here visiting! love you!

beautiful sunset

as it was walking home from work today the sunset was just amazing. i had to take pictures, even though they aren't the best. i couldn't hold the camera still long enough to get a clear picutre...plust it was a little cold so i didn't try for very long. but right in front of me was the moon. it had 2 little stars by it and they were all a little clouded giving it a fuzzy kind of look to it. it's hard to explain but i thought it just looked really cool.

Thanksgiving concert!!!

We had my family get together at my parents house this year for thanksgiving. that night after the turkey had settled we put on a little concert! We all played Rock Band (we even got my mom to try it...but unfortunately didn't have the camera out at that moment). Anyway we had a lot of fun. Hayden was so hyper and really putting on a show that we had to pause the game. Scott and I both had tears in our eyes from laughing so hard!!
