beautiful sunset

as it was walking home from work today the sunset was just amazing. i had to take pictures, even though they aren't the best. i couldn't hold the camera still long enough to get a clear picutre...plust it was a little cold so i didn't try for very long. but right in front of me was the moon. it had 2 little stars by it and they were all a little clouded giving it a fuzzy kind of look to it. it's hard to explain but i thought it just looked really cool.

pictures just don't do this sunset justice. it was BEAUTIFUL!!

Thanksgiving concert!!!

We had my family get together at my parents house this year for thanksgiving. that night after the turkey had settled we put on a little concert! We all played Rock Band (we even got my mom to try it...but unfortunately didn't have the camera out at that moment). Anyway we had a lot of fun. Hayden was so hyper and really putting on a show that we had to pause the game. Scott and I both had tears in our eyes from laughing so hard!!

so i started to make all the skirts for our nieces for the wedding. these are just 3 of the 6. i loved the size differences! so cute! i can't wait to see what they all look like with them on!!! right now i have about 8 projects started but not completed....so this feels good to have them made.

Scott's latest look

Scott's facial hair grows so fast that it only took him a little over a week to have a beard growing on his face. he decided he was bored with that and wanted to shave it down to the mustashe like he and bo decided to do...but he wants to have a little more fun with it than that. so this is the inbetween shave he decided on. i think his next shaving adventure he wants it to look like Hulk Hulgan. I say no...i like what he has now. what do you think???

MUSTACHE MAYHEM
Scott and his friend Bo are doing what they call mustache mayhem...they are growing out a mustache until Bo and Jessie get married (congrats btw). they are getting married in december, so we'll see if scott can last that long :)

a few of us had fun dressing up at work for halloween. my favorite was Lynda's costume...Darth Vader!! and the best thing was right after we took this picutre Lynda said "good thing i was smiling!" we had a lot of fun dressing up.

Midterms!

English is not one of Scott's favorite classes...but he's taking one this semester. He is loving being in school. i think he is a very good writer, he's very descrpitive and makes it easy to visualize what he is writing about. he should probably be writing this because he could write it to sound better. anyway, he just had his midterm tests. His grade at mid term is an A!!! go scott!!

I Graduated!!

This was my final cake for my cake decorating class, course 1. I think it turned out pretty good...roses are harder than expected, but it's a fun challenge!

my sister-in-law Rachelle is due with a baby girl so we threw her a baby shower! I decided to make a few cakes for the occasion for practice and we needed a dessert!

so i've decided that since i have some time before the wedding i would try to make as many items as possible to save money. now before you laugh and think i'm crazy, take a look at how good i've done!!

and these will be the skirts for our nieces. they were a little trickier to make but i think they turned out pretty good!

man's new age form of torture

ok...so i'm not saying i'm fat...i'm just saying i hate to work out!!! i've never been a go to the gym kind of girl. but i've been trying to make my self work out though because i've already bought my wedding dress and if i have to have it let out before the wedding i will die!!! so on monday, wednesday and fridays scott is at school until 6:30, so i'll stay after work and exercise. there is some exercise equipment in the basement. the worst of all...the stationary bike! it wouldn't be so bad, except the bike has a tv monitor on the front...and it doesn't get a signal! so i'm stuck sitting there peddling while staring at my reflection in the tv monitor!! so therefore, i've decided that stationary bikes are the new age form of torturing a person!

ok so keep in mind this was my first try at making a rose out of icing. i think it would have gone better if i had made the icing correct, it was a bit too runny....but for a first try, i think it's pretty good! i'm getting even more excited to try more and actually try it on a cake! scott even played along. he is so good at supporting me and my crazy dreams and ideas!

Birthday Party

Poulson family had a birthday party for Dad, Rachelle and me (tia). we all went bowling and had a blast!!! i think ben won, but he bowled at least twice as many games...so i would hope he could win after that much practice, lol. after we went out to eat. it was fun being together as a family and just having fun.

Ok, so my lastest desire is to learn how to decorate cakes. scott's been supportive in my interest so we were looking up some how to videos on line the other night and we were watching some about how to make roses out of icing. so i go to scott's after work yesterday and he was so excited to show me what he made for me. he went to the fridge and pulled out a cracker. on the cracker is a rose made out of easy cheese!!! he's so creative and cute. i would have never thought to have done that! that's one reason why i love him :)

FRIDAY THE 13TH!!!

We've finally set a date! we are getting married on Friday March 13, 2009. we haven't decided which temple yet but i'll keep you all posted. time is flying, only 6 months left!!!! The wedding will be on the 13th but the reception will be the next night because the place i want is booked the 13th! darn high school orchestra concerts :(

MY DRESS!!

I bought my wedding dress today! I would put a picture of it on here but i'm not sure i want scott to see it until the day of...even though we all know i suck at keeping secrets, so we'll see how long that lasts! but my dress is sooooo cute! I got it for really cheap too, $278!!!! so that meant i could get a tiara and accessories, because we all know, i want to look like a princess on my wedding day! :)

My Ring!!!

so it's not the clearest picture of my ring but i tried. it has two bands. the bottom band has 11 diamonds (alternating between white and pink) and the top band wraps up around holding a princess cut diamond in it. I love it and i'm excited to have it on my finger!!!

I'm blogging, but scott's not

scott wants nothing to do with this...but too bad. he is on it now!!! So for those who don't know we are engaged!!! Scott proposed on June 26, 2008. We went for a walk on Lincoln Beach in Oregon at sunset and he asked...i said yes! we are thinking wedding in March but it's not finilized yet. We are just excited to get married and be together forever!!!
